VibePapers turns personal videos into per-display live wallpapers without rewriting Apple’s wallpaper library.

The project is for Mac users who want their own footage, animation, or cinematic loops on the desktop, with independent controls for each display and a library that stays local.
A clear platform boundary.
VibePapers renders desktop-level wallpaper windows itself. It does not modify, back up, restore, or synchronize Apple wallpaper metadata. The optional modern screen-saver extension is a separate Beta path and is not required for desktop wallpapers.
Source available by design.
The interface, direct wallpaper engine, persistence, media inspection, diagnostics, update verification, and release tooling are separated so contributors can reason about behavior. The project is available for noncommercial use under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0.
